DMzio works with Instagram professional accounts, which means a business or a creator account. A personal account cannot be connected. You can switch an account to professional in the Instagram app settings.
1. Open Instagram Accounts
In the app, open Instagram Accounts and choose Connect Instagram. During onboarding the same button appears on the connect step.
2. Approve the consent screen
Instagram shows a consent screen. Allow access to the account and allow messages, otherwise DMzio cannot send direct messages. If you cancel, nothing is connected and you can start again.
3. Check the status
A connected account shows Connected. One workspace owns an account at a time. To use an account in another workspace, disconnect it from the first one.
4. Reconnect when health says so
If an account shows Needs reconnect or Messaging permission missing, its access expired or a permission was removed. Automations on that account pause until you reconnect. Choose the reconnect button on the account card and approve the consent screen again.
